Given what a sharp and sudden image change this project represents for her, we’re a bit surprised to see her promoting it in delicate English florals and demure styles. We’d have thought this was a time for breaking out the leather and ass-kicker boots for the poledance.
But maybe we should give her some credit for not doing the expected thing. There’s been a turn toward the idea of dressing in character for red carpet events in the last several years. Sometimes it works and sometimes it comes off a little lame and costume-y. She avoided all that by … showing up in something Queen Elizabeth-adjacent. Can’t fault her for going the expected route.
Having said all that, we think the color and print are very pretty, but the hem is horrifying and the sandals don’t really go.
