Miss Kim was there to pick up the very first “Influencer Award,” darlings; a fact that we hope will quell any more “T Lo, if you don’t pay attention to her, she’ll just go away” nonsense from certain korners of kittendom. She’s a big deal, like it or not, and we’re only the bitches on the sidelines making wisecracks about it. Take it up with Anna Wintour, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Ryan Seacrest, and her 100 million followers for putting her in this spot. As for us, we’ll continue to judge her style choices, as God intended us to do.
And on that note…
Bedsheets and casino gift shop jewelry, darlings. Same as it ever was. Tacky, body-con and thrown together.
Even she noted the oddness of her winning a fashion award, but again, it’s really hard to deny the effect she’s had on style, fashion, beauty and celebrity in the last decade. There’s a look. It’s often dismissed and just as often copied by people all up and down the alphabet scale of celebrity and fashion importance, but it’s easily definable, highly influential, and it was created entirely by her. The question isn’t whether she deserves an influencer award; it’s wondering just how many of them she’s going to rack up in the coming years.
It is what it is, folks. We didn’t make the rules.
