The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have released three official photographs taken on their wedding day by photographer Alexi Lubomirski at Windsor Castle.
So many thoughts swirling through our heads, but we’ll try and restrict ourselves to three.
1. Dear God, these two are ridiculously photogenic. We’re just not used to seeing any Royals act so demonstrably, overtly in love like this. Harry’s very much his mother’s son and tends to wear his heart on his sleeve way more than his brother. And Meghan is naturally demonstrative (and photogenic about it) from years as a working actress. We never say this sort of thing about royal weddings, but we can’t wait to see their babies.
2. There is no denying that sudden and jarring shot of brown in a Royal family picture. It’s amazing and wonderful to see.
3. Not to be prudish about it, but let’s retire the “sitting between Harry’s legs” pose, Megs. Between these shots and the engagement photos, it’s already become a bit of a cliche. We get how you both constantly want to tear each other’s clothes off, and we fully support that because it’s hot and charming and makes for the kinds of great pictures we’re currently looking at. But maybe sitting side-by-side might be a fun thing to try going forward, yes?
Okay, one more, because we can’t not express this:
4. It is both hilarious and charming to see Betty and Princess Charlotte in the same picture because THEY LITERALLY HAVE THE SAME FACE, 90 YEARS APART.
