Met Gala 2018: Sarah Paulson Nails a Quiet Sort of Opulence in Prada

Posted on May 09, 2018

At this point, we’re frantically throwing Met Gala looks at you and screaming “WHAT ABOUT THIS ONE?!? PRETTY, RIGHT?!?!?” Which is our way of letting you know that we have no other reason to feature this look than the simplest one of all: We just love it.

It’s gorgeous, it’s opulent as fuck, it suits her perfectly, and it doesn’t veer into cosplay, which just isn’t her style. And it’s a nice change of pace to see her predilection for drama express itself in lightness and shimmer, rather than darkness or severity, which are her go-to modes. There were way more attention-seeking looks that night, but this one is easily among the most chic. Possibly even a personal best for her, which is really say something.
