Met Gala 2018: Darren Criss Wears His Art on His Sleeve in Dolce&Gabbana Alta Sartoria

Posted on May 09, 2018

At this point, we’re frantically tearing our way through the remainder of the Met Gala looks, many of which are quite worth discussing, but time and practical considerations demand we start getting a bit quick-and-dirty with our assessments.

But we couldn’t bring ourselves to shove this look into a lineup. It deserves a moment in the spotlight.

While the red carpet was happening, we complained a bit on the twitters about some of the folks showing up to a museum gala literally wearing works of art. We found the idea of it to be somewhat … unimaginative at times. But we honestly couldn’t work up the ire with this one. It may be literal and obvious, but it’s too gorgeous to discount. The colors are stunning. And it could not be more perfectly suited to him. Case in point:

There’s a little bearded Darren on the shoulder. He really should’ve worn a crown or something, just to complete the comparison.
