Meghan Markle in Goat at the The Prince of Wales’ 70th Birthday Patronage Celebration

Posted on May 22, 2018

Darlings, were you wondering (as we were, with bated breath whatever tf that means) what the new Duchess’s newly royal style was going to be like? Well, we hope you didn’t get your hopes up for any major new infusion of fresh and bold new fashions to this lineup, because Maggie Sussex is taking a page straight out of the Cathy Cambridge playbook:

Neutral and demure, darlings. She’s going to work that uniform for all it’s worth. And to be honest, given how much more she has to prove to the British public than the average royal wife, we don’t think we can blame her for playing it very safe at the moment. Besides, this is not the time or place to wow people with your statement-making style. This is the time and place to show that you are firmly a member of the Firm, right down to wearing the uniform.

Their first commonwealth tour is when she’ll bust out the lewks, we’d wager. For now, at home, she’s serving Windsor Woman realness.
