You guys better make yourselves some toast, because Miss Gabrielle is bringing the DRAMA BUTTER:
We love it.
Yes, the pants are super-cray. We don’t care. It’s bold and bright and high-fashion af. It’s rare to see a star interpret the red carpet this way – especially for their own premiere. She’s risking a lot of “WHAT WAS SHE THINKING?!?” captions when she chooses this over some pretty Erdem dress or sexy Valentino gown. We’ve talked quite a bit this past year about how the pantsuit and the ladytux have become important go-to’s for the red carpet set. We’d love it if boldly editorial (yet still comfortable) looks like these became the next evolution of the red carpet.
Granted, a look like this is incredibly difficult to pull off and we might have written an entirely different post if she wasn’t making it work so well. But great style is at least partially about knowing what you can handle and playing to your strengths. It’s not a look for everyone, but it’s definitely a look for her.
We’d bet her publicist told her she had to take the hat off at some point so they could get good shots of her face, but the ensemble works best with it on. Not only is it fabulous (especially on her), it balances out the shape of the pants.
That looks kind of fun.
