Diane sweetie, the Met Gala was last week.
Funny that she’s wearing something so heavily Catholic in tone when she basically just came out as a piece of Wedgwood for the actual Catholic-themed party. Granted, a Carol Brady-style matching pants and shift wouldn’t have seemed formal enough for the event.
We really love this. The colors look great on her and the themes are really well executed, wittily combining playing card artwork with Catholic iconography; taking Medieval European design details and glamming them up. It feels right and it looks good on her. We question the hair bow, the super-matchy clutch, and those pointy-toed sandals which seem to be all the rage this spring, but they’re not enough to get us to unlove this. We’re willing to consider arguments, however. Mount your case.
