Let’s take another short break from all that high-fashion Cannes coverage and check in one some dirty little TV actors, desperate for scraps of your attention.
Busy Phillips in Solace London
This is a casual affair and she’s a gal who likes to show up at things looking like she’s having cocktails poolside, so this mostly works for us.
It’s the same basic shape and style she tends to default to, but the colors are a nice surprise.
Apparently bold colors and matching slides were part of the dress code. This all looks pretty great, but we think the matching pedi might be a bridge too far.
Cute skirt, but we would have rec’d a more colorful top and footwear.
Kind of adorable, but the hem is simply too high. We don’t mind a pair of warm-weather high-waters with loafers, but the proportions are slightly off.
Eric McCormack and Debra Messing
Dear God, mister. UNPOP THAT COLLAR. Wear a “I’m a douche” t-shirt. It’ll be more subtle.
She’s okay. It’s a bit overdesigned, but that’s kind of her thing.
Love it, but the pants need hemming and those shoes do nothing for it.
Jenna Dewan in David Koma
Very much a dance costume, which is appropriate. Of course we don’t love the sheerness of it, but it kind of plays into the costume feel.
Lady, white is not your color. Fucked up, over-designed white is even less your color.
We’re seeing a lot of “nude” pumps all of a sudden.
Gets the job done, but we don’t love the tail.
Mandy Moore in Altuzarra
We screamed “NO GIRL NO” at the sight of the shoes. We bet you did too.
We wanted to like this, mostly because we love her, but it is WAY too juvenile. Maybe if it wasn’t pink the effect wouldn’t be so pronounced, but we think she could do without the puffy sleeves and buttoned-up neckline no matter what color it was.
Sterling K. Brown in Musika Frere
Can’t really argue with that.
