Style File: Christina Hendricks on “Watch What Happens Live” and at Brooks Brothers’ Event

Miss Christina unveiled some strong and quirky looks this week, but she may have gone a bit overboard on the latter quality.

Christina Hendricks makes an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” in NYC.

We questioned our first impulse – that this is way too busy and overdesigned – because we thought the super-busy backdrops were fighting with it. But after careful and meticulous consideration, we’re prepared to say … this is way too busy and overdesigned. It cuts her up visually and it doesn’t appear to be something she’s all that comfortable in. And the visual elements aren’t particularly flattering. We would have thought she’d figured out by now that a raglan sleeve is a terrible idea for her. And while we try to be sympathetic regarding her difficulties finding borrowed merch that fits her bust, we’re going to suggest any sort of netting or macrame in that area should be off the table completely. They look like they’re being held captive.

This is just goofy and odd. She loves a good tea-stained vintage-inspired aesthetic. We don’t think it’s the best way for her to go, but the heart wants what the heart wants. The dress is fine, but not to our tastes. The jacket is awful.
