Pop Style Opinionfest: TV TALKSTRAVAGANZA

Posted on April 27, 2018

Kittens, it’s our BIGGEST (and by that we mean “longest) PODCAST EVER!

Not ONLY do we go all-in on a full recap of last night’s RuPaul’s Drag Race (visual aids to follow), but we got the intense privilege of a visit from our pal Mo Ryan, the former TV critic for Variety and The Huffington Post. First, we plied her with baked goods (recipes here and here for the curious), then we sat down, flipped on the mics and went DEEP on a range of topics, from her plans now that she’s left Variety, to her extensive work documenting the #MeToo movement in the entertainment industry (including bravely writing about her own experiences as well as working behind the scenes to help women in the industry get information and resources), to the rise of the female critic in importance, and of course, a whole bunch of thoughts on a whole range of shows, from Mad Men to LOST to The Wire to Jane the Virgin and on and on and on. If you love listening to really smart people who are really hooked into the culture and have a jaw-dropping breadth of information in their heads to draw from, then this conversation is for you. We not only loved participating in it, we loved listening to it afterwards.

And now the aforementioned visual aids:

So dive right in, darlings! All the laughter, tears and opinions!

Thank you for listening! Tell your rabbi and manicurist about us!
