We’re back, darlings! After leaving you bereft of our cartoon voices spewing the usual blend of half-supported opinions and married-couple bickering by not producing a podcast last week, we came roaring back to our microphones with a whole bunch of things to say on a whole bunch of topics.
First, a little more of our random thoughts on Beychella and how Beyonce uses fashion to brand herself and her vision, but not to look stylish or chic. We contrast this with Rihanna, who clearly enjoys high-fashion for itself, as its own form of expression, rather than as the tool Bey envisions it.
Second, we spend some time celebrating some of the (queer, diverse, entertainment and fashion-based) choices that made the Time 100 list, including one Christian Siriano, who we met in a tent eleven years go for an event with Tim Gunn signing bobbleheads and could kind of tell had something a little extra going on.
Then it’s off to the races as we run down all the streaming TV we’ve been watching of late, including a very, very late dive into the gloriously funny Schitt’s Creek, plus Lorenzo’s latest crying-in-another-language picks Fauda and Occupied, and finally, another very late dive into Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s masterful Fleabag:
And of course, much was spewed over last night’s RuPaul’s Drag Race:
