Darlings, let’s gather round and discuss whether any of these gals have the right to feel pretty.
Oh, we’re just kidding. And also annoyed by the premise of this film. Let’s take it out on their style choices.
Fine. We won’t do that either. Let’s hold hands, sing “Kumbaya,” and nitpick the details, then, shall we?
Amanda Peet
She’s got a very low-key, casual style and this isn’t her poledance so it’s not surprising to see her take such a generic approach, but we think you could work within this exact style and still come up with something a little more photogenic than this. The competing beige/taupe/tan combo against flimsy white pants is … not great.
Emily Ratajkowski in Michael Kors Collection
This lady, on the other hand, is on the poledance tour, which means she dressed with a lot more wow in mind. We don’t love cutouts like that AT ALL but she’s the gal to make one work. This is fine. It’s high-impact sexy-glam, which is exactly her sweet spot.
Gillian Jacobs in Sandro
Really cute. We expect no agreement on this matter, but we think the white pumps were the right choice.
Meghan Trainor
Not really feeling this one. It’s like some sort of very somber drag, with the exaggerated proportions, anchorwoman hair and total lack of color.
