We had a rant all ready to go about how Ewan’s sort of Hipster Hobbit style might be way past its expiration date by now, but dammit if that little scamp doesn’t continue to make the look work:
Which isn’t to say we find it red carpet-ready or even all that stylish, but the man has managed to reach middle age sporting a look he hasn’t changed in decades and NOT come off like Johnny Depp. It helps that this basic style is so low-key and that he’s built exactly the same way he was when he was sporting it in the nineties. Having said that, put a little more effort in, would you, dear? You’re lucky you’re cute.
As for Miss Lea, she is giving us Snooty French Cinema Star realness and we’re all the hell over that. The looks is perhaps a bit more emphatically high-fashion than one expects for the Tribeca Film Festival, but it’s sharp, sassy and takes a great picture. Love the coat. She’s wisely keeping that goofy dress as covered as possible, but we wish the scarf wasn’t so matchy. Hard no on the footwear.
