We always say (to the point that many of our regular kittens are no doubt sick of hearing it), that different types of entertainment projects call for different kinds of promotional style choices. Cardi B’s latest album drop is not going to be promoted with wardrobe choices that overlap with Meryl Streep’s latest Oscar grab; not just because of the differences between those two women, but the differences in the types of projects they’re selling. Similarly, there are style differences between how a major film is promoted and how a hit TV show is. And sticking strictly to the world of film, you can expect to see differences in style choices depending on the genre of film being promoted.
That introduction out of the way, may we present the most on-point Avengers movie dress we could have ever imagined. Behold the Hulk Dress:
Miss Girl, we can do nothing but applaud your boldness and out-of-the-box thinking here. And we have no problem at all with a gal getting some major shoulder-padding options on. And if we’re being perfectly honest, the technical work in getting that much leather to hang and drape like fine silk is pretty damn impressive. But we have to be honest here: the color is hideous and the proportions are off. That skirt needs to be at least an inch or two longer to balance out the top half. Technical critiques aside, we just don’t like it. Still, it’s hard to beat in terms of the kind of bold look-at-me-ism a poledance like this one requires.
