We’re trying really, really hard to like this:
And we’re not even sure why we’re putting the effort in on something that makes her look like she serves drinks at the kind of theme restaurant that requires its servers to address patrons as “My Lord” and use “thee” a lot in sentences. There’s a way to wear a waistcoat like that one and have it come off chic and maybe even a little rocker-fabulous, but everything from the puffy-sleeved blouse to the nondescript pants is working to keep it as generically bland as possible.
We suppose we tried so hard to like it because it feels like this sort of style could be a great choice for her, if she could figure out which details work for her and which don’t.
