Film Independent Spirit Awards 2018: Timothée Chalamet Took the Night Off, in Off-White

One of the reasons we didn’t do a rundown of Timothee’s awards season style like we did for several of the actress nominees is because it was so strictly consistent. While he may have had a preference for oversized clothes and shoes that we don’t share, he nonetheless spent most of the last year stepping out looking incredibly chic in a minimalist menswear sort of way. And we have no doubt he’ll make us proud on the red carpet tonight. Plus, the FIS Awards are more or less a pre-party for the Oscars; a night for a lot of the awards-season poledancers to have a little of fun just before graduation, so to speak.

All of this is why we find the following so utterly delightful:

He’s young and he’s spent a good portion of the last year in formal wear, killing it every time. Some may have a problem with the casualness of this look, but we love it. Attaboy.
