Miss Sarah really went there.
Putting aside the idea that Dior Couture could be seen as overkill at a network party, this is just a whole lotta look for her to be breaking out at an event like this. The lady is clearly here to make an impression and blow everyone else out of the water. It’s a red carpet star turn.
And we LOVE it. GO, girl. Joan Crawford is smiling down from movie star heaven in appreciation of your spotlight-grabbing talents.
Style-wise, we think it’s a really strong and declarative way to wear this look. We love any pantsuit that gets away from the Hillary, which is starting to get overplayed. This has real drama in its shape, which gives it a costume-like formality perfect for a red carpet. And she’s got the kind of bearing that allows her to walk around with her top undone and have it look chic. LOVE the earrings and the shoes. The former make the look more glamorous and the latter leans into the severity of it.
It’s a strong-ass look from a woman who knows she’s a star and waits for the right moments to remind everyone of that fact. Just look at the massive difference between this look and the one she wore to that literacy gala the other night. This was strategically deployed.
