Time to make your voices heard once again, darlings! This week, we’re pitting two proper ladies working some very proper-lady-with-a-twist looks
T’s Pick: Elizabeth Debicki at the “Peter Rabbit” UK Premiere in Bottega Veneta.
T’s Defense: It’s a perfect combination of a certain old-school ladylike chicness that she clearly prefers, crossed with a bold, slightly flashy modernity that makes it red carpet-ready. It’s unique and on point at the same time. It simply looks great.
Lo’s Pick: Sarah Paulson at FX Network’s All Star Party in Christian Dior couture.
Lo’s Defense: I think this is just the right counterpoint to Elizabeth’s look. It also has that old-fashioned proper-lady feel, but instead of going bright and flashy with it, she doubled down on the seriousness of the look and added an unexpected sexiness to it. It’s quieter and harder to love than Elizabeth’s look but it’s clever and sexy in a way hers isn’t.
Two queens arguing! You get to save their marriage by settling things!
Please remember to show your work.
