This is like self-confidence in dress form:
It’s sleek, it’s bold, and it’s INSANELY dramatic. She looks FLAMAZING.
Personally, we wouldn’t have rec’d a matchy purse, but honestly, we feel silly trying to claim this isn’t perfection. Besides, the matchy thing has trended back in style, to our occasional dismay. Can’t fault a lady for keeping it fresh.
And hey, we got our prediction almost kind of right: “We’re figuring it’ll be sleek and either red, silver or black. There will be heavy beading or sequinry. The neckline will probably be low and the shoulders squared off.” Not so much on the shoulders and beading, but the color and silhouette are just what she’s been serving all through awards season. As we said the other day: she’s a pro and she looks at red carpet style as a job to get done. Of course this was how she was going to do it for the Oscars: bold, impeccable, and on-brand for her.
