James Franco in Full ’70s Sleazy Chic, on the Set of “The Deuce”

Say what you will about him, he does take to the sleazy looks well.

We loved the first season of The Deuce, not least because it did a fantastically on point and period-accurate version of New York City in the early seventies; specifically the porny, prostitute-y parts of it centered around Times Square. We’re slightly curious about the coat here. It’s definitely correct for the period, but it looks fairly expensive. Knowing this show, that’s not a mistake.

Yes, he’s problematic; we know. He’s also particularly well-suited to this part. We don’t quite know how to proceed in every case with a man accused of harassment, but speaking for ourselves, it’s not going to stop us from watching season two.
