Seems like we’ve been giving all the attention to the kids today. Time for some grownups to step out.
Ladies? Your cue has arrived.
It’s funny. We’ve never seen a second of this show (sitcoms are largely Not Our Thing), but they seem utterly believable as mother and daughter, both in looks and how they interact with each other.
Although granted, we don’t know many moms and daughters who hang all over each other like that. Still, it’s clear that they adore each other.
Or maybe it’s just good acting. Once of them’s got an Oscar, after all.
Miss Anna, we love you, but you almost never get things right on the red carpet. This could be a pretty great dress if two things were changed: the color and the hem. The former is way too close to your hair and skin colors, rendering you a neutral column. The second, we just hate because we hate those kinds of hems. But everything from the hips up is just the right shape. If this was pink and it had a conventional hem, it would be all good, from where we’re sitting.
Miss Lady put in her time on the awards season track, spending months in one skin-tight gown after another, always with her eyes on the prize. With that prize firmly in hand, Mama’s taking herself a damn break from all that foofaraw. This is one step away from a poolside caftan, which is exactly what she deserves right now. We’re not crazy about the print, but the style looks great on her.
