Congrats, boys! The reviews are in and you’re a smash!
We try to stay away from critiquing opening night party red carpets, especially when we’re talking about the principle players, who just put in a hard night of non-glamorous work. But we have to say, these two did surprisingly well for themselves.
Andrew Garfield in Gucci
If we’re being perfectly honest, we can’t say we love the color of the suit or the print of the tie. But both are notably eye-catching and photogenic. And the suit is beautifully fitted and clearly of high quality, as are the shoes. Certain aspects may not be to our tastes, but we can respect that the look is really well rendered.
Lee Pace in Thom Browne
These boys didn’t slouch when it came to labels. Gucci and Thom Browne? They’re not fooling around. They knew there would be a lot of press attention on them and they dressed like they were at a movie premiere. The typical Browne male silhouette of shortened torso, sleeves and pants is a near-impossible one to pull off, but he’s quite tall, so he’s coming pretty close to it. Even so, we’d have liked a half-inch more on the hems, please. Other than that, he looks perfect. The Thom Browne look really suits him. Pun sort of intended.
