2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards Red Carpet Rundown

Posted on March 12, 2018

Darlings, this is a good reminder that, even though we wrapped up our Oscars coverage days ago, awards season never truly ends among the celebrity set. Not that we need to compare this gathering with the Oscars – or even the VMAs. But it’s famous people wearing loud outfits and posing for the cameras before heading inside to pat each other’s backs, which means one thing and one thing only.

Put your judgin’ pants on.

Not that anyone has to dress in clown clothes or cutting edge wear, but this is pretty damn generic. And it’s too tight up top. The problem isn’t that it’s not trendy or edgy; it’s that it’s overwhelmingly stale.

Camila Cabello

You can’t fault this one for being expected, but that top half comes off like a bunch of random elements thrown at the skirt.

This is fun (if not fresh), but the shoes are a real let-down. Beige platforms? You couldn’t go for a little color or flash?

Halsey in Raisa & Vanessa

Pebbles Flintstone, the rebellious years.

Iggy Azalea in Brian Lichtenberg

Worse than merely tacky, this is generically tacky.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum in Zuhair Murad Couture

It’s managing things a lot of these other looks aren’t. It’s fun, colorful and photogenic, with some style to it. We’re loving the very ’80s jacket. Not so much on the goofy skirt.

Laverne Cox in Rachel Zoe

We’ve seen better from her. It’s fine, but we don’t get the impression she loves it.

Madelaine Petsch in L’Atiste

Really cute. We’re not feeling those shoes for it, since thy come off a little serious in comparison, but we have no real complaints.

Paris Hilton in Charbel Zoe Couture

A silly little drag queen. We don’t think it’s chic, but it sure is on-brand.

Sarah Hyland in Galia Lahav

Way too LIZA, circa 1989.
