Like her co-star Margot Robbie, Rose took the release of this film as an opportunity to get a head start on wearing the hottest fashions for spring. It’s not the most original promotional style idea in the world, but how else is she gonna dress for these backdrops in a warm-weather setting? Might as well lean into it.

It’s fine. Like we said, may as well lean into what this film is and who it’s being pitched to. Showing up as the pretty Sunday School teacher makes sense. We draw the line, however, on lace shoes. Even if we like them on their own (we don’t), we think they’re a bit much with such a potentially mumsy dress. A pair of matchy pumps in pink or yellow would’ve been our rec.

This is better, to our eyes, simply because it has more of a high-fashion feel to it while being springtime in tone without being a cliche about it. Plus she looks great in the colors. We think we like the shoes (you make the call on that one), but we HATE that hem. It’s asymmetrical to the point that it’s dragging on the floor AND it has a little ruffle hem. Such a bad way to end a pretty good dress.
Along with your assessment of the shoes, her hair will have to be dealt with as well. Let’s hear opinions on both.
