We were about to make a point of the fact that both of these ladies are hitting the poledance just as hard six months into it as they did on Day One. They’re not slacking off, is what we’re saying.
Margot Robbie in Louis Vuitton
Miss Margot continues to work the sparkly geometric looks with slightly ’80s undertones to them. It’s not just good branding for the film, it’s the best look for her at the moment. And on top of everything else, she snagged one of the best Louis Vuitton dresses available. She looks fabulous. Loving the eye makeup.
Allison Janney in Jenny Packham
Miss Allison is staying firmly in the “gets the job done” camp of red carpetry. Even so, the sparkle and glam factor are bumped up a bit for this one. We don’t love the dress (it’s fine) or the shoes (not fine), but the former is doing enough heavy lifting overall that the look works for her needs.
Anyway, we were going to commend them both for continuing to hit the promo style hard after all this time, but in retrospect, it was silly of us to expect otherwise. They’re both too professional and they’re both up for Oscars. Of course they were going to sell it.
