Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer are our Favorite Fashion Faux-Queens, at the New York Film Critics Awards

Posted on January 04, 2018

The boys continue to serve it up:

We just love these two little faux-queens. We have decided to officially adopt them.

Of course, once the paperwork goes through, we’ll have to immediately start instructing them in the ways of proper fit and good tailoring, seeing as how they both have problems in this area. But they regularly turn out in high style looks that don’t feel stale or perfunctory. Like so many women during awards season, they are fully engaged in the poledance, including the parts that require one to dress up like a doll and pose for pictures. We like to call it the Redmayne Effect, after the thirstiest male Oscars campaign the world had ever seen. To be fair, these two somehow don’t come off like they’re trying too hard or relying on one specific look – unlike Eddie Redmayne himself, who won the Oscar based on a succession of nearly identical Pee-Wee suits and a perpetual wide-eyed stare on the red carpet. With these two, we never really know what the next outfit’s going to be. And that? Is practically unheard of in male red carpet fashion. Well done, boys. Keep it coming.

But for our sake, find a tailor.
