SAG Awards 2018: Tracee Ellis Ross, Slaying in Ralph & Russo Couture

Posted on January 22, 2018

WERQ THOSE WHITE PUMPS, QUEEN.

We have one tiny quibble: The satin edging on the skirt slit is puckering. We feel the need to say this now so we can get on with the gushing and huzzahs and hosannas.

LOVELOVELOVE this. HUGE drama, while still being workable and (we imagine, probably wrongly) relatively comfortable and easy to wear. For a gown with a cape, that is. This is not a time for “pop of color” accessorizing anymore (it’ll be back soon, because fashion cycles get shorter and shorter now), so her white shoes and bag are perfectly on trend. They avoid the “Bridal” curse because there’s nothing remotely bridal about the dress design (even if it would make a killer wedding gown). This makes the subtle deployment of the red earrings (right next to her matching red lips) all the more perfect for the look. We know she likes the simplicity and ease of pulled-back hair, but we would’ve loved her letting her Ross curls fly with this one.
