SAG Awards 2018: Let’s All Sigh Over Lupita Nyong’o in Ralph & Russo Couture

Commence sighing now, darlings. Don’t worry; we won’t dirty things up with our nasty opinions. Why would we? This is near-perfection:

The color is sublime, the explosion of black feathers at the bottom is surprising and offers a little visual excitement to what could have been a standard strapless sheath, and the slightly retro, understated hair and makeup lends an air of elegance and sophistication that belies its Hollywood red carpet setting. She looks absolutely lovely.

Eagle-eyed kittens (which is a scary and potentially nauseating image now that we think it through) may have noted that we dubbed this “near-perfection.” It’s cutting into her at the bust just a skosh; enough for it to register as a fit issue. Don’t look at us like that. We’re just saying.
