Darlings, this one barely needs any sort of introduction, since it’s all there in the title. We spend some time chatting about the major-category Oscars nominations and the politics (because there’s always politics) behind some of the likely wins. After that, it’s a total deep-dive recap into the highly entertaining season premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars season 3. All the drama! All the bitches! All the gowns and wigs! Plus: some musings on how the show has become a cultural force and how the mainstream audience has started to change the definition of what we see as drag. All of that last part was spurred on by the lineup of queens, who do a particularly good job of delineating the entire history of the show and subsequently, the history of drag in the last nine years.
Whew! That’s a lot! That’s not even getting into rating each queen’s look, reading session, talent portion and overall attitude! The only thing that’s missing are the screencaps, but we’re working on that at the moment. The usual channels are being bitches about it.
Anyway, dive in, dolls! The tea is hot and the opinions are cold as ice. Listen in by clicking HERE. And as always, darling, thank you forever for your support.
