The music industry sucked up most of the red carpet oxygen this weekend, what with the Grammys and their various pre- and post-parties (coverage of which we’ve only begun to serve up). But the entertainment industry soldiered on in other areas and there’s an Oscars race hitting fever pitch. All the more reason for nominee and this year’s Golden Girl, Miss Margot, to put on a fun frock and go take a hometown-flavored victory lap in the spotlight:
And y’know? That really is a cute getup. And we say this as people inclined to HATE paperbag waistbands. And also as people who do not particularly love rose florals on white backgrounds because they look like a home textile; bedsheet, shower curtain – you name it. But it’s bright and fun and has the kind of retro shape that she tends to be good at working. And we’re kind of loving the massive rings. They look like Barbie jewelry.
She looks fresh, confident and relaxed. Despite our dislike of this kind of print, it really works for her here.
