Golden Globes 2018: Come Through, Tracee Ellis Ross

Posted on January 08, 2018

Can we just say?

That this is the most drop-dead, fuck-you fabulous look we’ve seen in forever?

Part of why it works so well -aside from the sheer drama of that head wrap – is that the dress, despite its shine and elegance, has a slightly boho feel, both in the fit and the big, floppy flounce. Boho is her style sweet spot; where her preferences lie and she feels the most comfortable. But it doesn’t always translate well to a high-fashion Hollywood red carpet setting. With this dress, there’s something sort of Bob Mackie-in-the-seventies about it, which makes it just about perfect for Miss Diana Ross’s daughter getting her glamour on. This is not only one of the best looks of the night, it’s one of the best looks we’ve ever seen her wear.
