They didn’t show with activists at their side, didn’t win any awards, and if we’re being perfectly honest, didn’t wear looks we’d place anywhere near the top ones of the night. But they’ve both been loud and tireless supporters of TimesUp since its launch, imbuing the movement with energy and loud voices at exactly the time it was needed. It would seem a large part of the success of this dress blackout came down to their efforts. And if we’re spending the day highlighting the women of this event, it would seem weird to leave them both out.
Which isn’t to say either of them look dull or unstylish. Quite the opposite. Reese is working an impeccably fitted take on her go-to look, which is both body con and quite often, one shoulder (she likes that neckline). The bangle is a gorgeous way of finishing it off with some sparkle.
Eva described her dress as a maternity take on the tuxedo, although we’d argue there were some much more impressive takes on the tux walking that carpet. Still, the satin-trimmed neckline is a nice touch.
