Golden Globes 2018: Elisabeth Moss in Dior Couture

Posted on January 08, 2018

The Queen of the Peter Pan collar makes a pointed choice.

We are utterly smitten by this look. It’s like Peggy Olsen went formal for the night.

As two people who wrote more about her Mad Men costumes than any other two people on the planet, we had to smile at the sight of her in this pointed collar. Along with the Peter Pan, it was the most persistent costume motif for her character, Peggy. And while we’d have to say that her red carpet history is a bit spotty overall, she never really looked bad whenever she put on a collared dress. We don’t know why, but it’s an element that just looks great on her. Something about the facial structure/neck/shoulder proportions, we suppose.

But okay, we have some suggestions, which we are not going to call critiques because we’re trying to be all supportive and stuff: We wish there was a contrasting belt, a higher hem, and a pair of pewter pumps on her feet.
