Golden Globes 2018: Amy Poehler and Saru Jayaraman

Posted on January 09, 2018

Amy Poehler attends the 75th Golden Globe Awards with activist and author Saru Jayaraman.

Kind of loving Miss Amy’s capelet action. We’ve never actually pondered capelets, but it occurs to us just now that we must have harbored some mild anti-capelet tendencies, because our first response to someone looking cute in a capelet was along the lines of “Hunh. How about that? She made a capelet look really cute.” This is also, not coincidentally, the absolute highest number of times we’ve ever used the word “capelet” in one paragraph, a record we are not likely to break any time soon, so go ahead and enter it into the record books.

Saru Jayaraman is an advocate for restaurant workers, the Director of the UC Berkeley Food Labor Research Center, Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Restaurant Opportunities Centers United (ROC United), and author of Behind the Kitchen Door. She has a killer earring game. You can follow her on twitter here.
