We’re afraid we just don’t get Miss Gillian’s latest style iteration.
We cant really point at anything about her current look that we dislike or seems like a bad idea. We’re not crazy about the platinum blonde, but it’s okay. And the glasses are cute, but we tend to think they look too heavy for dressy situations requiring picture-taking. And the dress is fun. The sandals are well-paired with it. So what’s our problem? It all doesn’t go together well. The hair and glasses, the hair and the dress, the glasses and the dress. Bad combos all around. We’re not so prissy as to think people should have different frames for every outfit, but if you’re a celeb with options and you plan on sporting a silver dress with platinum hair, maybe you should see about wrangling lighter frames or metallic ones. We still don’t think the platinum/silver combo works all that well for her, but if you downplay the heaviness of those frames, we could see a sort of icy chicness taking over.
Even so, it strikes us as a really odd choice of dress not only for a day event, but for one that requires you lay down on the sidewalk. But hey, you only get your Walk of Fame star once, and if a lady wants to get her Marilyn drag on for the occasion, we suppose we should step back, shut up, and let her get to it.
