Gal Gadot Lives Boldly in Mugler at Revlon‘s “Live Boldly” Campaign Launch

Posted on January 25, 2018

Looks like we were right. After the Golden Globes red carpet dress blackout, there simply aren’t any good black dresses left.

Proof:

Sigh.

(We’re really sighing. Out loud and everything.)

We’d hoped the panty-baring skirt trend had died by now. It’s certainly not as ubiquitous a look as it once was. We should be thankful for that, at least. There was a time when we suffered from the problem of how to frame a discussion about the 4th panty-baring red carpet dress of the day, several days a week.

We can’t say there’s anything we like about that skirt, but it does tend to come under her particular set of style preferences: a lean, simple gown with one obvious design twist. And she’s supernatural enough to make this work for her. But we really hope this represents one of only a handful of this type of dress we see on the red carpets of 2018.

To put a more positive spin: Everything from the waist up looks fantastic.
