Margot Robbie Reminds You She’s Not Tonya Harding at the “I, Tonya” Los Angeles Premiere

Did somebody say “Movie Star?”

Well if they didn’t, allow us to be the first. This isn’t a look to break the world in half or make fashion bitches swoon over its drop-dead chicness. This is an unfussy, no-holds-barred, pharmaceutical-grade OG Hollywood Diva look. A no-brainer, if you will. And it’s a classic buzz-generating technique for an actress promoting a project in which she looks considerably less glamorous. Call it the Theron move.

Although it’s hard to compare her to any other blonde actress right now since she’s so clearly serving up Scarface-era Michelle Pfeiffer white-gold realness on a platter. It’s practically cosplay. Girlfriend knows what’s looking back at her when she looks in the mirror and she’s got no problem leaning into it.

In truth? It’s not even a great dress (from a design perspective), and we’ve gone on record a thousand times about how much we dislike naked sandals. But it plays to all her strengths; not just the classic glamour-working skills, but also the seemingly innate ability to make disco and ’80s fashions look fresh and/or classic.
