Gina Rodriguez and Nick Jonas Take Two Different Approaches at the “Ferdinand” Premiere

Posted on December 12, 2017

And now, two different ways to celebrate the opening of your cartoon; the formal, fancy way and the … really gray way.

The colors are so beautiful and look so amazing on her that it took us a minute or two to see the issues. We’re sorry, darlings. We’ll try not to get dazzled again. As we see it the problems with the dress are all centered on the bodice. It’s too tight on her and the floral element has been overdone to the point that it no longer looks floral. More like lizard skin. Plus the face is too clean and the hair not zhuzhed enough for a gown like that. A premiere like this doesn’t call for high-end styling, but once you commit to the brilliantly colored gown with the poofy skirt, you should set aside some time for face paint and a blowout.

Then there’s the Jonas way, which is a combination of supreme neutralness and obvious attempts to look edgy. Or at least, that’s how we see it. We’re biased bitches.

Anyway, judge for yourself:

It’s not bad. It’s just … really, really gray. A black shirt and black pair of boots would have gone a long way here. A red shirt would’ve been perfect.
