Crank up a little Night Ranger for this post, because this sister went full Christian this week. And we’re not talking about Jesus.

This is kind of low-key great. We’ve been seeing a lot of velvet as well as a metric f-ton of pantsuits lately, but this one stands our for the slightly off color combo of dark green, pink and champagne. We question pairing a velvet bag with a velvet suit and the gap above the waist is unfortunate, both of which keep this from being declared perfect. It’s a great idea for a look. Just needs a little finessing.
She defaults to the socialite hair too much, though.

This is cute and a little surprisingly sassy. She doesn’t go for sexy looks all that much, but this is a great low-key (there’s that phrase again) way of doing it. The jacket is a bit of a cliche but it’s hard to get wrong. Our only quibble is that the bust is a bit small.

Look, everyone! A NECKLACE! We predicted it – or at least, we fervently hoped for it. Neck jewelry is back on the red carpet, based on the few examples we’ve noted. It’s a trend we welcome because all those strapless looks and plunging necklines really scream for it.
Anyway, the gown’s pretty enough. The impact is in the color, which she can pull off well. We might have liked something in a bag choice that would make it stand out or pop against that wall of yellow. Other than that, it’s a decent, if not terribly exciting look – our frantic hand-waving over the necklace aside.
