Darlings, let’s take a break from all that high drag known as the Miss Universe National Costumes parade and center ourselves with something simple and pretty.
Miss Saoirse, that’s your cue.
Sort of pretty. Pretty if you squint and selectively ignore some things.
Tea-stained romanticism with a modern twist is kind of her style sweet spot, but even so, this one may be taking things a bit far. It’s Rodarte, after all. We expect their twists to be a bit extra, but the embroidery on top of the lace on top of the ruffles on top of the dingy color scheme – all of that on a pale Irish girl, it’s just not giving us the wow factor.
Which is a damn shame, because her head styling is absolutely gorgeous. Girl, your hair and makeup peeps did you right, but that dress is not up to their level.
