Kittens, the stars came out in semi-formal semi-style for something something awards something something!
Enough niceties. Let’s judge.
The jacket has possibilities, but it seems a bit blocky and heavy on him. The blue pants should be at least a shade or two darker. Hate the t-shirt.
The pocket square’s a nice touch and everything fits well. It’s just a little dull and gray.
She always has sash issues, but this looks pretty good overall.
Jamie Bell and Kate Mara (in Christian Dior)
They’ve settled into a quietly chic mode.
Kat Graham in Monse
Monse is tough for even the most talented fashionista to work on the red carpet. Sorry, Kat. It’s just not in your wheelhouse. It’s also too shiny and fussy for pictures.
Katharine McPhee in Maria Lucia Hohan
Somewhat surprisingly dramatic. We’re not loving the “random tux jacket thrown over the shoulders” trend.
Kumail Nanjiani and and Emily V. Gordon
Adorbs, as per the uzh. Her shoes would work better without the ankle strap but even then, we think a lighter-looking pair would be better.
Mandy Moore in Johanna Ortiz
The bodice looks too much like a bathing suit and the skirt is over-ruffled, but it’s one of the least goofy looks we’ve seen her wear all year.
That blouse is awful.
Tom Cullen and Tatiana Maslany
He’s lucky to have her there. Otherwise he’d come off insufferable. Her smile makes up for a lot – including their somewhat basic outfits.
Tracee Ellis Ross in Vintage Balmain
Nice to see SOMEONE brought a little high-fashion to this jawn. Thank you, Miss Tracee.
