Oh, how thoughtful! Usually, when we tell celebrities to line up for a rundown, we’re being metaphorical. Thank you for thinking of us, guys!
We’ll still be judging you harshly, however.
Issa Rae
This is fun. As with her big lady garden dress, she has an ability to work looks that might overwhelm others or come off a little stale. This isn’t the first sparkly jumpsuit the world has seen, but she brings some fun, style and personality to it.
Abbi Jacobson
Hmm. The print is pretty and we figure the silhouette and style are very her. It’s the shoes that really throw it off; first, because they don’t photograph all that flattering and second, because they’re the wrong style. Something a little funkier and more casual; a little less “Execu-bitch.”
Sterling K. Brown
It’s fine – in every sense of the word – but pretty dull.
Mary J. Blige
It’s a lot, but we would expect no less from Miss Mary J. Kind of a shame, because that coat and those shoes need better chances to shine. All together, it’s just a mish-mash of metallics.
Diane Kruger
We rolled our eyes.
Kumail Nanjiani
Cute. Brown and purple is not a color combo you see in menswear often. It looks great. Not so much on the suede shoes, though.
James Franco
Credit for trying. It’s a specific style and it’s got a little more freshness than his usual business suits. We tend to think it doesn’t suit him very well, though. It doesn’t help that the fit seems to be off a bit.
Also: You could bring the hair down an inch or two, James. No need to get into Eraserhead territory, now.
