Friday Leftovers for the Week of November 12th, 2017 – Part One

Posted on November 17, 2017

Darlings, we have SO MUCH red carpetry left over this week that we’re forced to do two rather lengthy posts, just to make sure everyone gets a little bit of our loving judgment before the week is out. We know they’ve been craving it so. Come. Let’s judge together, shall we?

Amber Heard in Mugler

Girlfriend came dressed for battle. We can’t really say we love this look, but we admire her commitment to working the shit out of that room.

Annette Bening

She’s really gunning for that Elizabeth Warren biopic, isn’t she? Miss Annette, we’re fans, but your Chic Granny style could use a little bit of help.

Connie Britton

Honey, judging by your face, we’re in total agreement. You really are standing there in a shitty dress.

Cynthia Erivo in Christopher Palu

Congrats to Project Runway season 10 finalist Christopher Palu! Miss Cynthia certainly seems to love what you did for her. We like this, but we’d love it if the bodice wasn’t sheer.

Darby Stanchfield in Yanina Couture

It’s a really strong look, but we find it all a bit precious, to be honest. She looks like she’s at the Winter Olympics.

Elizabeth Debicki in Giorgio Armani

It’s fine, which is an indication that she’s just not feeling this night, since she usually never fails to bring it.

Emma Roberts in Ulyana Sergeenko Couture

Oh, honey. We were willing to look past the giant body bow, because there was a sort of punk-lite romantic vibe we were feeling. Then we got to your panties. It always goes south when we get to the panties, dear.

James McAvoy

Well, hello.

Jessica Chastain

Almost everyone involved in this benefit came dressed for work, unlike Cynthia Erivo (above) and Anne Hathaway, who both clearly love getting dressed up. Jessica’s been glamming it up of late, so this is kind of cute and refreshing to see.

Kirsten Dunst in Christian Dior

It’s got that romantic-goth vibe she’s really good at working and she certainly looks great, but we’ve seen this dress a thousand times.

Michael Shannon

Ooof. Sir, your jacket is problematic, you could use a trim, and you can’t work stubble. There. The gays have assessed you. Go with God.

Michelle Monaghan in Christian Dior

It’s almost too simple for commentary, but she looks cute and that’s a sweet bag.

Natalie Dormer in Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini

From the Tonya Harding collection at Sears.

Nicole Kidman in Ermanno Scervino

See if you can find Nicole Kidman in this picture! It may take a while, but you’ll be shocked when you find her!

Nina Dobrev in Versace

That’s a lot of look. We’re not super-nuts about the shoes, but we’d be okay with them as a bold sort of statement piece, but the bag and the goofy-ass hem are fighting with them.

Portia Doubleday in Christian Dior

Sweetie, no.

Robert Pattinson in Dior Homme

Mortician.

Sebastian Stan

Hot professor, 1978 edition.

Selma Blair in Schiaparelli Couture

FABULOUS skirt with a tricky top. She’s making both work. Her hair looks great.

Susan Sarandon

Sister Susan is available for grief counseling, should you need it.

Zachary Levy and Gina Rodriguez (in Missoni)

Such happy, HAPPY people!

Love her dress. Her shoes are KILLA. He’s looking pretty good. Digging the hair. The suit looks a tiny bit small and a bit muddy in color, but the subtle stripe is nice and the tie colors are a little unexpected.

More to come in Part TWO, dolls!
