Let’s hear it, kittens. First impressions, because we tend to think this is a first-impressions kind of look:
We would argue that this is a love-on-sight or hate-on-sight ensemble, which means the following points aren’t going to make a difference to any of you.
First, putting her in white while she’s sporting her natural blonde is always a dicey proposition because she gets washed out so easily. Second, there are some definite issues with the design details, as we see them. The skirt is too stiff and heavy-looking. It falls to the floor like upholstery fabric. For such a simple silhouette and style, it has too many details. The pockets, belt and closures are fighting for eye space. The clashing white of the belt irritates us and the closures tend to look like safety pins. Basically, what could have been a cool, minimalist design got slightly overwhelmed by tiny, nitpicky details. Also, the bag doesn’t go.
So which one is it, darlings? Did LV finally make a cool, chic red carpet look or is this as overdesigned as the rest of their line? In other words …
