We like to read the red carpet tea leaves, so to speak, and since it’s hard not to see her poledance for this film as a mere prelude to the much larger, much crazier poledance she’ll do for next month’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi, we are compelled to see this look as a bit of a declaration. Miss Daisy isn’t fooling around anymore.
BAM. She was merely playing around on the red carpet up until this point. This look says she’s a player. And that Star Wars poledance is likely to be eye-popping.
And can we just say? It’s pretty damn refreshing to see a sheer dress that isn’t black. We’re not entirely sold on the sweetheart bodice underneath, nor are we quite on board with the growing trend of white linings, but the color, sweep and gorgeous neckline look spectacular on her. We could do with a slightly better tie on that sash, but we are absolutely in love with the silver-gray color of it, playing against that green.
She seems to prefer a really tight up do, which is something we think should be only an occasional thing for the red carpet, but it works here because the gown calls for it and because the earrings are spectacular.
