Here, in a nutshell, is why we tend to swoon over Miss Z’s public style/red carpetry:
Because she plays with it.
No matter where she’s going or what’s being promoted. she always uses the occasion to say something about herself or to give the spotlight a reason to linger on her. No one’s perfect, which means she doesn’t get it right every single time, but there’s such an energy to her approach to style; such a clear and obvious mission to constantly give the public something to look at.
We suppose part of our gushing here comes down to this: looking at the Erdem X H&M collection, it never would have occurred to us to style it up like a mid ’60s girl group singer. It’s such a fun and unexpected way to go for this kind of event/this particular collection. She has a stylist to guide her through these little style experiments, of course, but it’s all on her for being so game and never really wavering in her commitment to mixing things up in a fun and photogenic way. It’s good style and good branding. She’s basically winning the red carpet.
