Every once in a while, as fashion bloggers, we stumble across the violation of a fashion dictum that we just assumed everyone else knew and took to heart without thinking about it. It’s always a bit of a shock to us, to discover that certain style rules we hold to be both self-evident and inviolable, others see as mere suggestions. Now, we hate to be dogmatic about fashion and its constantly shifting rules. If you love something, wear it. The trick is in training yourself not to fall in love with those fashion items that are clearly no good for you.
Anyway, we thought this one was a no-brainer, but Miss Michelle clearly disagrees:
Don’t wear a leather garment dyed the color of your own skin.
Is it us? Isn’t that just good common sense? Not to, you know, go out in a dress that looks like it was made out of you?
But then again, look at how bad her accessories-pairing skills are. Miss Girlfriend clearly doesn’t care about the rules. Fine, then. Be a skin-dress-wearing gal who can’t pick a handbag to go with her shoes. See if we care.
Oh, Michelle. Let’s not fight. Come back to us, darling. Come be our Princess Twee-As-Fuck again.
