One thing we love about those Hadid gals: They really know how to continually dress in amazingly high-impact looks in order to secure max press attention. That’s a common skill among other types of celebrity women, but surprisingly enough, it’s a rare skill among fashion models. You can conjure up Heidi, Naomi and Tyra on the red carpet pretty easily because they’re among the few of their ilk who know how to work red carpets and sidewalks like a runway, but after that, it’s a little tougher to get a handle on, say Karlie or Coco.
Which isn’t to say Gigi or (or Naomi, Heidi and Tyra, for that matter), dresses in a stylish manner. To wit:
It begs to be photographed. It practically guarantees that witchy little sites like ours – not to mention the bigger, less witchy, more corporate fashion/entertainment sites – will cover it. It’s an awful design, bordering on ridiculous, but it’s hard to stop staring at it. It’s kind of everything you want in a red carpet look, so long as looking stylish isn’t anywhere near the top of your list of goals.
Also, it’s really badly styled, no? We’re not a hundred percent sure on what direction the styling should go, but the slightly clashing pumps, bright red lip, tight hair and costume jewelry clip-ons all strike us as the wrong way to go.
