We’ve already featured Elle in her little preppy Lolita costume, but this is the first time we’re seeing Jude and Rebecca in costume.
Judging by his look, we suppose Jude is the inevitable Woody stand-in character. Rebecca’s costume is pretty great, actually. Nothing like an old-school, bright yellow rain slicker to brighten up a look. It looks surprisingly great with a navy skirt and white boots.
In other Woody news, he opened his mouth and gave an opinion on the Weinstein scandal, cautioning against a “witch hunt,” which is an almost shockingly dumb and un-self-aware thing for him to say. We wonder if the rapid foundational shift in Hollywood right now is going to have an effect on this film’s reception. The public seems primed to reject him right now. And actors who choose to work with him – especially those who spoke out against Weinstein – are going to find it harder and harder to justify.
Then again, this whole thing could blow over. Mel Gibson got nominated for an Oscar last year.
